I'm Orrin and I'm addicted to pretty much everything Cigar Box Guitar! I've been selling my CBG builds for close to 3 years now at Guitar shows across England. In a word these instruments are addictive, to play, to make and most importantly to make some noise. I could honestly never quite get down playing slide on a regular guitar, learning a guitar always felt like homework too. As I learned to play the CBG, it also meant I learned to make my builds better to. I stick to more traditional methods when it comes to making these. Hand carving necks to get that perfect feel, making my own traditional wood stains to give an authentic look. Whilst sourcing parts at affordable prices I also make sure they're road worthy to, to last. My CBG story started by picking up an affordable fretless one, playing it until it couldn't play no more. Which is what I want my builds to be, affordable CBG's to get you into the hobby. To get you playing, jamming and generally just having a good time. I also love helping out and seeing what other folk are making as it's truly inspirational! Which is a big part of this new website, which I hope (fingers crossed) gets folk building there own to.
